Equally absorbing is the splendid technical maturity of the poet. Keats uses the Petrar hand form. The active octave the rhyme scheme ab-ba-ab-ba and the sestet, decide. The octave states the theme and clarifies it with arguments. In the sestet, there is the furthering of the theme. Anyway, the sonnet is remarkable for its rich suggestive expressions and magical wordplay.The Poetry of Earth' is a sonnet per excellence. It deals with the eternal music of the earth. The eternity of beauty and love, poetry, and art is a favorite philosophical conception of the romantics. Keats too follows the theme. But the way he expresses it in the poetry deserves special mention. In fact, philosophy finds no entry in his poetry.
